Providing support and recognition for people in our community in a caring role

The most significant providers of care to older people are informal carers. The key to enabling frail older people and people with complex care needs to remain living independently at home is often due to the support they receive from their spouse, family or friends. At Lyndoch Living we understand that this caring role can be constant, physically and emotionally draining, and may significantly impact on family, employment and social opportunity.  As such we support carers to continue their very important role by providing respite through a variety of options, which indirectly helps them to maintain their own health and wellbeing.

Our respite programs are designed to meet the individual needs of carers and care recipients by offering the following diverse range of respite options:

In Home Respite program
Flexible in-home care which extends after-hours (Dementia specific).

Homestead Overnight and Weekend Respite
Short-term respite (24 hour) in the beautiful historic ‘Lyndoch Homestead’ building overlooking the Hopkins River.

Day Stay and Day Centre Respite
Respite focused on encouraging social participation and stimulation in a secure environment through the provision of group activities and planned outings.

Carer Support Group
Providing a network of people in similar circumstances along with information and resources
