Volunteers are an important part of Lyndoch Living, as without them many of our lifestyle activities could not occur. Volunteers assist with:
No experience is necessary to be a volunteer, just a willingness to learn and be involved.
Most volunteers, do so because they simply wish to help. Some use volunteering as a stepping stone to further employment, others as a learning experience as part of their studies. The benefit of volunteering is to feel a sense of belonging and to be able to enlighten the day of a resident or client in some way.
All volunteers are interviewed and require a police check before they start. After attending an orientation program, our volunteers are placed under the supervision of our lifestyle staff.
From simple acts of talking to a resident, to helping out on an outing, every contribution is most appreciated. New Volunteers are always welcome as there are approximately 200 residents cared for by Lyndoch Living volunteers and staff.
Lyndoch Living is committed to introducing opportunities which will recognise and enhance the positive contribution that volunteers make. If you are interested in volunteering your time please register your interest online or contact us directly.
