Home Instead is an innovative respite program on offer that delivers well-deserved time out for carers by providing care in-home.

Home Instead provides clients with an experienced care worker to assist them in maintaining their individual lifestyle by providing support for personal and home care, with an emphasis on socialisation and community interaction.  Care staff encourage client involvement in tasks and activities to empower and engage them in a lifestyle that is their own.  Tasks and activities could involve:

Personal Support
Assistance with personal hygiene needs such as dressing and showering.

Social Support
The support needed to continue to access the community by accompanying individuals or small groups of clients to places of choice where they can socialise and interact with others.

Home Support
Assisting with cleaning and other daily tasks.

Lyndoch Living’s care staff are known for their ability to quickly establish rapport and trust with those in their care as we can and do use the same care worker.  This allows for a greater continuity of care provided and the added security of a familiar and friendly face.  

Home Instead Respite is a flexible and responsive service available to carers of anyone over 18 with identified low level care needs.   Clients will be assessed by the Home Instead Respite Coordinator to ensure their suitability for the level of care offered through this service.

Making a referral is easy.  Referrals are accepted from any source, including the client themself, their carer, doctor, or other health service providers.  Simply contact us at Lyndoch Living and discuss your referral with our coordinator who can complete the necessary paperwork over the phone.  However, if you would prefer to come in and discuss your referral, appointments can also be made with our coordinator.  Referrals may also be directed to us using the Service Coordination Tool Template (SCTT).  Each referral is considered and prioritised solely on the basis of need.

The Home Instead program is an initiative of Lyndoch Living extending from the other great services provided.  Upon acceptance into the program a small client contribution will be negotiated and charged at an hourly rate.  Weekends and public holidays may incur a higher rate.
