Interactive therapy - motivating you within your community

Lyndoch Living offers clients a place to take the next step in their rehabilitation journey at our Community Rehabilitation Centre.  Working with professionals and others within the community can motivate clients to further claim back their independence.

The Community Rehabilitation Centre can assist clients with:

• Individual treatments 
• Falls prevention and balance 
• Strength building 
• Nursing assessments
• Continence assessment and management

Clients can also join one of our highly successful therapy programs available such as:

Living with Parkinson’s
Assisting people living with Parkinson’s Disease to maintain and improve functional movement and independence.

Remember Exercise Matters
An eight week early intervention, education and exercise program for both people with dementia and their carers.

Living Well
An education group for people with early stage neurological conditions that provides helpful strategies, and information about further support services that are available.

Boosting your Brain
Provides useful strategies and stimulating activities to assist people who are experiencing memory, concentration and problem solving difficulties. 

Anxiety Management and Relaxation
An eight week program providing education on the effects of stress and how to manage it.

Making a Move
Aimed at older people who are vulnerable or at risk of falling.  The programs combine exercise, education and social interaction to improve upon many of the underlying factors which can lead to falls.

Lymphoedema
Individual lymphatic therapy for people with lymphoedema involves manual massage and compression bandaging with mild exercise.

With the Community Rehabilitation Centre situated in Warrnambool, clients will find ample parking access adjacent to the centre, and taxis can be arranged for clients as required.

Fees are set for these programs but these are kept at a minimum to ensure equity of access to the service.

To access one of the Community Rehabilitation Centre programs speak to your general practitioner, health care specialist, health service or case manager for a referral.  Lyndoch Living offers the program to anyone 18 years and older living in Warrnambool and surrounding districts.
