Lyndoch Living is pleased to confirm that all residents of the May Noonan Centre in Terang will be able to leave isolation tomorrow after the home recorded 18 positive COVID-19 cases over the last week.
Lyndoch Living’s dedicated team will continue to care for and closely monitor all residents, while providing updates to families.
Board President Susan Cassidy said that the organisation was proud of the professionalism demonstrated by staff to prioritise resident care.
“The last week has been incredibly challenging for our team at the May Noonan Centre, and what was most pleasing to see is how our staff adapted. The professionalism demonstrated by our people ensured we could continue to deliver high-quality care to all residents,” said Susan Cassidy.
“We again extend our gratitude towards South West Healthcare, Terang & Mortlake Health Service, the Commonwealth and State Governments, and the Australian Defence Force who have delivered additional clinical leadership, staffing resources and support during this time of great need.”
Separately, Lyndoch Living also announced its decision not to renew its sponsorship of Warrnambool’s prestigious Grand Annual Steeplechase.
While the organisation has been a proud supporter of the Warrnambool Racing Club and the Grand Annual for the last six years, its sole focus now is to ensure the safety and care of residents and staff, while addressing ongoing challenges in its facilities.
Lyndoch Living advised the Warrnambool Racing Club CEO, Tom O’Connor of its decision on Wednesday.
Commenting on the decision, Susan Cassidy said: “The renowned international race is a major draw-card, provides substantial economic value for Warrnambool and the south-west region, and deserves a significant sponsor.”
“Lyndoch Living’s sponsorship was initially part of the Waterfront Apartments sales and marketing strategy, but with the sponsorship up for renewal and the apartments secured, it was the right time to reconsider our ongoing involvement.”
“The Club fully supports our decision not to continue with another sponsorship term. We would like to thank Tom and his team for their commitment to ensuring our residents, clients and staff always felt at home during the carnival, and wish them all the best in securing the next sponsor,” said Susan Cassidy.
