Meet Penny: Lyndoch Living’s passionate Finance Specialist

  • 0

Meet Lyndoch Living team member Penny, our Finance Specialist – Residential (pictured with residents Janet and Mary). Penny has been a part of the Lyndoch team for the last ten years.

Penny’s passion for numbers started from a young age. In high school, she and her friends would work out their weekly budgets during lunchtime.

Penny landed a role at Leighton Constructions in Adelaide, where she worked for 15 years. From payroll assistant through to project administration, she had various roles, learning many of the skills she has today.

When Penny moved to Warrnambool, Lyndoch stood out as a place that she would like to work. So she successfully applied for a job. Penny has recently worked her way into the position of Finance Specialist Residential. “I love that I can support both the residents and their families,” she said.

A typical day for Penny starts by meeting with residents and their families to work out a quote based on various criteria’s. It is important to explain everything in a straightforward and stress-free manner. Next, I prepare their residential agreements, set up their accounts and generate any necessary monthly billing,” says Penny.

One of Penny’s favourite things is walking through the corridors and seeing a happily settled resident who she has helped transition into Lyndoch.

Penny loves the culture of Lyndoch and has made lifelong friends. “I’m proud to work at Lyndoch. I believe if you really want to do something, you should follow that path, and Lyndoch is a great place to do that,” she said.

In her spare time, Penny is the trip Coordinator of the Warrnambool 4WD Club. She originally joined this club when she first moved to Warrnambool.

Thanks for caring Penny!
