Conelysa has been part of the Lyndoch Living Hotel Services team for 18 months.
It was Conelysa’s daughter who thought her mum would be perfect for the position after coming across a role advertised at Lyndoch Living. So, she encouraged her to apply. Conelysa took her daughter’s advice and was successful.
Conelysa is responsible for serving main meals and morning and afternoon tea to residents in her role and enjoys working in the Hotel Services team.
“I didn’t know much about aged care before starting at Lyndoch, but I have learnt a lot in my time here and really enjoy what the job offers,” Conelysa said.
“We follow a program that tells us what each resident would like for the day. Some days they might feel like something different to what the program says, so I always make sure I do what I can to make the resident happy. The little things you do can make the biggest difference.”
Conelysa loves that her role in aged care allows her to give back and make other people happy.
