The Social Support Group provides planned, innovative and stimulating group activities and respite for carers of people with dementia or memory loss in a fun, friendly and secure environment.
Activities such as exercise programs, cooking, men’s group, brain gym, craft, bus outings, gardening, music and entertainment are provided by qualified diversional therapists trained in working with people who have dementia.
The Social Support Group runs from Tuesday to Friday 10:00am – 3:30pm. Transportation to and from the Day Centre can be arranged.
Funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and the Victorian Government HACC, Day Centre attendance includes a small fee to contribute to the cost of activities.
Other programs available include our Day Stay and Overnight and Weekend Respite.
