Shout out to Lyndoch Living team member Sue, the Intake Coordinator for the Homestead Home Support and Wellness Program. Sue has worked in the aged care industry for almost 30 years.
Sue began her career at Lyndoch eight years ago as the Community Respite and Homestead Coordinator. After five years, she took up a new position elsewhere, but not for long. Sue came back to fill a position for three months and has stayed in the role ever since.
“I have an amazing team to thank for staying. I love being able to help our community clients, and I am so grateful to work in such a supportive and fun team. My role provides me with a sense of pride as I love making a difference to the clients and the lives of the carers,” Sue said.
As the Homestead area offers various day-stay programs, in-home respite and weekend respite, Sue’s role at Lyndoch carries various responsibilities. First, she works with new clients who have been assessed by My Aged Care. Next, she works with the different areas to develop a program best suited to both the clients and carers individual needs. Once they are happy with their planned program, Sue then refers them to the appropriate Program Coordinator.
In Sue’s spare time, she loves getting out in her garden, travelling with her husband and being surrounded by family.
Thanks for caring Sue!
